staff or wand? - Guild Wars Forums

i'm havin trouble decidin what to use for my ele staff or wand? i usually go with staves cause its customizable but if i had a good offhand to go with a wand would that do better? and also if a wand and offhand both have those 20% recharge and cast times do they stack?

I'd go wand+offhand, more energy.

i normally have more then 1 weapon....

i have a good stuff, but also a graet wand and offhands for when i make diffrences in builds

if you need + enchant or more then +30 life...staff

if you are poor...staff

otherwise a wand/offhand combo can give you the same stats with 2 more energy

+20% mob dmg is useless on a staff

I have an Air Staff and an Air Wand with Storm Artifact for my Ele...

I use the Wand and Focus most of the time, but, since my energy goes up so much slower with them, when I'm not fighting I will switch to my staff to allow the energy to go back up faster. If you take Eve (Cultist Henchman) with you, she has Blood Ritual - what a legend!

You have energy storage as a primary attribute, so +15energy from staff and +17conditional from wand/offhand or sword/offhand combo shouldn't matter. I'd go for the recharge/casting on both the wand & offhand.

As for the stacking question, it comes out to 32% chance of half casting/recharge.
